THE STORY
A lifelong connection to design.
Joel's passion for homebuilding began long before he became a builder.

Growing up in Grand Rapids, he was surrounded by design and renovation projects through his mother's work as an interior designer. That early exposure sparked an appreciation for craftsmanship, thoughtful spaces, and the details that make a house feel like home.

Over the years, Joel completed design and renovation projects for friends across the country before turning his focus to Southwest Michigan. After renovating homes throughout the region and earning his builder's license, Joel Thomas Homes was born.

Today, that same passion continues to guide every project.
